Sometimes you just have to bust out and say what you think. No matter what the consequences. After all if you are a mature human you have already grasped the concept of cause and effect, and if you are the cause then hey, you have to live with the effects.
So being the big girl I am, I am going to say, pfft to people thinking too much about IM product launches. In fact I say pfft to everyone who ride on the back of the controversy of IM product launches. I say pfft to the whole IM industry actually.
If you are good enough you are going to make money. If you have chosen the IM world then good on you. You want to jump in with the pirhanas and join the feeding frenzy, go for it! Better being a pirhana than the cow standing on the bank waiting to be torn to pieces because you want to swim to the other side. Being called sharks never stopped people entering law school. Man (or woman) up and accept some shit is gunna stick.
I am off doing my own stuff, I am touring the facilities and picking up slack. My focus is so narrow at the moment I am burning holes through my screen. I am not wasting my skills or time on trivial crap like crying over spilled product launches, every second counts, and why donate my valuable seconds on arguing.
If you are smart you will do the same. You will ignore the distractions. You will put your foot down and declare that your time and brain power is worth more than DRAMA. You will watch what happens and take notes. You will be the fly on the wall, observing, taking the good bits, and doing your own stuff, even if it is making shit look good. Be SELFISH and use this stuff.
These marketers HAVE to give away parts of themselves so the cows on the bank want to jump in. Take what is given! Hold it up, examine it, see how YOU can use it. If you don’t, one day I will be the fly on your back as you are getting torn apart. And now you know why flies rub their hands together …
