Yeah I am cheap and occasionally nasty, but there is no excuse for NOT STARTING TODAY.
Hell for $5 you can get a logo done, covers designed, promotion done, freaking just about anything you can think of. Great site for STARTING OUT type work (really some people are doing stuff way too cheap here but they are probably just starting out too).
I just got a decent logo done in 24 hours, and a caricature for a website, a HAT KNITTED. One day…$5. No bloody excuses

If you know basic photoshop then you can have your own logo, it may look cheap but its a start. I don’t want to spend before I actually start earning.

Thanks for dropping by Tini. Let me ask you this, even with any level of photoshop, would the time you spent on it be worth more than $5. I have teh feeling it would.
As a beginner you would spend more time and it wont look as good, as a professional it will look good but you wont be satisfied you could produce in the amount of time you would charge $5 for.
Out tasking really is sensible when it is for micro amounts like 5 bucks in my opinion.

Unfortunately that’s the perception of many – I need to look good to launch or generate business. While looking good offers something to look at, people often forget about delivery and their customers. Nicely put – people, get you logo for a fivver and get on with business!
Thanks for this great resource Allison. I think I might use it to experiment with getting some .edu back links. It’s a shame there doesn’t appear to be a way to filter out only those people with feedback. That would save some time!

Fiverr is a crazy website – I can’t believe what some people say they will do for $5!
But it’s true – check it out if you can’t make your own usable logo in the mean time. Use a text based logo even.
I’m actually working on an article related to premium blog themes and putting off starting because you’re too busy researching them. Same kinda thing really.
