you: I currently have a NextG plan and am interested in getting the iPhone on friday and signed up on the page….I have not had any email back from telstra or any contact

Kerri: I can you send you a link to pre-register for the iphone, at this stage, I only have the launch date of July 11 at selected Telstra shops (I do not have details on which ones). It is expected that livechat will be able to provide the handset from July 22nd or earlier if stock arrives sooner. I would be happy to give you the link to pre-register though if you would like?

Extremely frustrating service… have people who know nothing answering your queries. I am not sure what i would prefer, a web page with a countdown clock and a notation NO CUSTOMER SERVICE AVAILABLE… or this crap. Somehow talking to a real person who is ignorant of what their company is doing is much worse.
Would you expect anything less from Telstra?
Unfortunately, Telstra does not believe in putting tech-savvy, information armed people on it’s front lines. Sad really.
I knew more about the imate Ultimate 8502 and 9502 than any Telstra I spoke to in stores and on the phone earlier this year. Not surprised…
And for a split second I was considering the move back to Telstra as they’re they only 3G network provider in Newcastle.
Going in to the Telstra Shops and talking to real people is the ONLY way I’ve found to deal with them and get useful information. Forget every other service they offer
From past and present experience Telstra only provide details at the launch date, so why are you surprised when before the launch date there is no information available
