Nice review Allison. It pretty much reflects my Edge experience as well. It was rather dry there for a while, but look out! Things are getting feisty!

I just joined one month ago and “get” exactly what you went through (since I am going through it right now).

You’re totally right about the skillset requirement. I’m at the intermediate level, and experienced lots of moments when I grasp the information, but it’s totally obvious that I don’t understand the potential for practial application completely.

It’s kind of like having a genius for a teacher . . . . tough to keep up with but the steeper learning curve is well worth it because of the amount of information you absorb!

P.S. I got my mac a few weeks ago and I can’t believe the work product I’m putting out. Professional video, animations, with sound effects! Amazing.

If only I could figure out how to output to FLV, I’d be in nirvana! Thanks for the thoughtful post.
